SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

 

Ægir 6000 is the first Norwegian ROV to have been specifically designed as a deep-sea research ROV. It was completed in 2015 by Kystdesign sub-sea Technology and upgraded in 2025. Upgrades and changes to the specifications are taking place all the time, so this list is not comprehensive. Contact the NORMAR team with specific queries about equipment.

The ROV, plus the required scientific tooling, TMS (if using), controls and pilot chairs are all delivered in a 20-foot control unit and a 10-foot high cube PDU container. For more information on booking Ægir 6000, click on the "Book Ægir" tab.
