GRANTS FOR SMALL PROJECTS
The cost of booking the ROV Ægir is a set price per day including costs of ROV personnel (3 per 12h shift). To ensure the accessibility of smaller research projects with limited budgets, the NORMAR II project received funding from the National Research Council to help provide access to the equipment for the next five years. This money will be used to subsidise the cost of renting Ægir on certain cruises for those eligible. NORMAR DATABASE
Ægir has completed more than 1000 dives, primarily in the northern Atlantic Ocean, but also in the Mediterranean and the Antarctic Oceans. The map shows all dive locations, tracks, and some selected photos of the seafloor, from the past 10 years.
